Wine therefore was always part of his life: from the observation of the vineyard rows, in the shopping lists where he notes his regular purchases, in fables, prophecies and rebus with ironic references to food. In 1515 he writes a letter to his farm manager in which he indicates how to obtain an excellent wine. Starting from this passion and his teachings we have created five collections following the Leonardo Method®.
The Villa da Vinci wines are obtained from grapes grown in the vineyards surrounding the estate and made following the indications of the Leonardo Method®. The name of the wines is that – historic, original and ancient – of the lands owned by Leonardo’s family in the countryside of Vinci. The Cru of the da Vinci family are today the Cru of Villa da Vinci.
Leonardo in 1502 spent six months of his life in Romagna. A special tour in five cities, which touches places rich in beauty: that which Leonardo captures in the drawings made at each stage of his journey and reproduced on the label.

Leonardo is the precursor of responsible drinking. This means drinking high-quality wine, avoiding excess and during meals. Indeed, he writes in the Codex Atlanticus (sheet 213 verso): “And wine should be temperate, little and often. Not outside of meals, nor on an empty stomach”. We have transferred his teachings into this wine, Leonardo Geniale, offered in the 187.5 ml format for those who want to enjoy the pleasantness of a good wine, fragrant and aromatic, in the right dose and with a convenient package, ideal for accompanying every meal wherever you are.
