Leonardo’s wine stars in international film festivals and summer screenings

Il vino di Leonardo è protagonista di festival e proiezioni estive

Who was Leonardo da Vinci as a human being? The documentary Il vino di Leonardo, directed by Marco Carosi, unveils Leonardo's most intimate side through an unpublished account: his relationship with wine and the vineyard. Twenty-five minutes of unpublished stories, journeys through Leonardian places (from the countryside of Vinci to the Milan of the Last Supper) and expert insights that reveal the most human, intimate and personal side of Leonardo da Vinci.

Leonardo is synonymous with an eclectic and creative mind, so the documentary blends the beauty of breathtaking scenery with a gripping and curious narrative; enriching the cinematographic work is the extraordinary participation of the Oscar-winning cinematographer Vittorio Storaro, who illuminated the final scenes of the Milan Last Supper.

First presented in Vinci on 11 April, Leonardo’s Wine is among the finalists of prestigious international film festivals: starting with the International Wine Film Festival in Santa Maria Valley, California, the Vero Beach Wine Festival in Florida and the special Da Vinci International Film Festival dedicated to the finest independent films from around the world.

In Italy, it will be possible to attend screenings at selected and exclusive venues, as took place in Florence and as will happen in Faenza on 6 July in the elegant Piazzetta della Molinella, on the occasion of the Cinemadivino festival, where the perfect combination of fine wines and auteur cinema has always been celebrated.
