With three events centred on the theme "Leonardo between Medicine, Art and Science" Leonardo da Vinci was celebrated in Argentina with the programme "IN-GENIO Italiano", organised by the Italian Embassy in Buenos Aires in November.
For the occasion, Cantine Leonardo da Vinci accompanied the institutional moments with a selection of wines representing the collections inspired by the Genius and created following the Leonardo Method©.
The series of events presented Leonardo of Vinci as a man of the future even in his own time and, today, five centuries later, still a source of inspiration in artistic and scientific disciplines. Leonardo is a universal genius, but he is an Italian genius. More than that, he is the one who sparked the creation of the image of Italy that has since taken root in populations throughout the world.
The three initiatives “IN-GENIO italiano” were entirely dedicated to valuing the expressions of Leonardo’s extraordinary scientific and artistic production, and featured professor Alessandro Vezzosi, Director of the Leonardo Museums and ambassador of the Leonardo Genius of Wine project, as a speaker.
From the conference “Leonardo in the Faculty of Medicine” to the debate “Everything you need to know about Leonardo in the twenty-first century”, through to an exhibition of models of his most celebrated works, with the exhibition “1519–2019: Leonardo da Vinci Genius – Machines and inventions”, the aim was to represent the genius of an artist who so profoundly influenced contemporary reality, starting with an idea, a drawing, an image, a project. And who continues to amaze, fascinate and generate interest even today in the fields of enology and viticulture.
