The wines of the Cantine Leonardo da Vinci have won prestigious awards at the latest Mundus Vini award ceremony.
Four medals plus the “Best of Show Chianti” award for the Leonardo da Vinci Chianti Riserva (2015): these are the accolades won by the wines of Cantine Leonardo da Vinci during the summer edition of the Mondus Vini competition.
The Gold Medal was awarded to Leonardo da Vinci Chianti Riserva (2015) and Da Vinci I Capolavori Vergine delle Rocce Chianti Riserva (2015), while the Leonardo da Vinci Chianti Classico (2016) and Leonardo da Vinci Vermentino (2018) bottlings were both awarded the Silver Medal.
Mondus Vini was founded by Meininger Verlag fifteen years ago and is today one of the most important competitions in the world. A qualified international jury composed of winemakers, wine growers, specialized retailers, sommeliers and journalists of the sector taste the wines anonymously and judges them according to the international evaluation method of the International Organization of Vine and Wine (OIV), also recognized by the International Union of Oenologists (UIOE).
The award represents for Cantine Leonardo a confirmation of the work, and a valuable international opportunity for comparison.
